Sasha Popova was born on June 28, 1991, in the picturesque town of Krasny Luch, in the heart of the Luhansk region — a place where the first musical notes resonated deeply within her. Even as a small child, she demonstrated what cannot be taught — an innate musicality and stage presence that captivated everyone. Her first performance came at just three years old — on April 1st, at a local concert. With childlike sincerity and a voice far beyond her years, she sang Alyona Apina’s song "Узелок завяжется". Her performance enchanted all 700 spectators, a true little miracle that held great promise. From that moment on, the stage became her natural habitat.
Even before she started school, Sasha embraced the world of performance with ease. She acted in plays, hosted children's events, and performed as a soloist — infusing each appearance with vibrant energy. It came as no surprise when she was cast as the town’s “Snegurochka,” the symbol of childhood joy beside the New Year’s tree. At the time, she couldn’t even read — her mother helped her learn the lines.
As the years passed, her talent only grew stronger. Victories followed — at local, regional, and nationwide children's music festivals. Sasha’s voice knew no borders — she performed on stages in Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and other parts of Europe, earning awards and public acclaim. Her early artistic journey was not merely a string of performances and accolades. It was a story of a little girl who, step by step, built the foundation of a serious musical path, driven by emotion, work, and presence — a story still unfolding.
She completed both primary and secondary school as a straight-A student — proudly graduating with a gold medal. She then went on to earn a degree from dental school, graduating with top marks. Although she never worked as a dentist apart from assistant work during her studies, she considers the experience deeply valuable and formative. As she herself has said, she earned the diploma at her father’s urging — to have a stable foundation in life.
While studying at the university in Donetsk, Sasha managed to remain active in music. She became a soloist in the jazz orchestra "Medikus Band". However, her deep and unwavering love for solo singing kept pushing her forward, and she regularly participated in music competitions at both national and regional levels. In 2012, she won the television project "Čisto HIT" with a brilliant performance. Soon after, she graduated from dental school and made the bold decision to pursue professional music.
Despite holding a degree in dentistry, life led her toward art. With strong faith in herself and her vocal talent, Sasha applied in 2013 for Konstantin Meladze’s reality show "Хочу в ВИА Гру". There, one of the most dramatic and emotional moments in her life unfolded — everything hung in the balance: one song, three judges, one decision. Before the strict jury, she performed “Вахтёрам” by the band Boombox. Her performance was emotional, confident, and sincere — but the decision was not easy.
The first judge said “Yes.”
The second said “No,” explaining that while she was undoubtedly talented, she was not meant for a girl group — but for a solo career.
Everything depended on the third jury member — Konstantin Meladze.
“Sasha, as I understand it, this is not just an audition for you, but perhaps a turning point,” he said, studying her closely. “You are facing a choice — who you want to be.”
Sasha replied softly, but firmly: “Yes, today my future is being decided.”
He asked about her father, her greatest supporter. Sasha explained that his only wish was for her to be successful — whether as a great dentist or an exceptional vocalist.
Meladze paused and reflected before continuing:
“You know, very few musicians are needed. But dentists — many. Dentists are needed... No (dramatic pause), I will not give you into the hands of dentists.”
Those words sealed her fate. That moment was a point of no return — music had won, and Sasha set out on a journey toward a career just beginning to bloom.
A star was born — but the path ahead was not easy. Though a jury member had predicted correctly, and Sasha reached the finals, she did not become part of the group she was competing to join. Still, the star continued to rise. Her mentor, Anna Sedokova, invited Sasha to join the group TABOO, and Sasha accepted. She continued developing her stage presence, and then, somewhat unexpectedly — some would say spontaneously — a soloist position opened in the group Fabrika.
It was a role tailor-made for a dark-haired singer with a rich voice, perfectly complementing the two blonde members. The group entered its golden era — and to this day, that particular trio lineup remains unmatched. During this period, ten major hits were born.
Sasha worked diligently on herself, continuously learning and evolving in the music world. By this time, she was widely recognized as a true star. The group’s producer allowed members to pursue solo careers alongside their group obligations — and Saša took that opportunity. Since 2019, she has launched her solo career, managing everything independently: production, styling, media communication, and artistic direction. As she says, being an independent artist means making your own decisions, listening to your heart, and expressing your voice to its fullest.
Everything created in this new era can be found right here on this website.
Her solo song "Папа", dedicated to her father, is a testimony to the emotional depth and closeness of her family bond. Sadly, her mother passed away when Sasha was only twelve. It was a devastating blow — she was extremely close to her mother, who had guided and nurtured her musical journey. What followed was a difficult period — but one Sasha emerged from even stronger.
She often emphasizes that her father has always been — and still is — her greatest role model, support, and guide.
In everyday life, Sasha makes a conscious effort to care for her health and balance. She pays close attention to nutrition, skincare, and inner peace. She notes that she learned the importance of healthy habits the hard way — poor nutrition in her youth taught her valuable lessons. Although she dislikes household chores and avoids conflict, she believes in harmony and always strives to bring people together.
Despite her successful career, Sasha remains grounded and connected to her roots. Her greatest wish is to gather her family at one table — as her sister, father, and she now live in different cities. She speaks of fame not with excitement, but with gratitude — staying true to herself, her art, and her inner world.

I love to create through voice, emotion, and stage presence. I enjoy bringing a song to life — turning words and melody into an atmosphere that stays with people. Performance is my medium.
My goal isn’t to persuade — but to inspire. I believe in quiet messages, in emotions that move, and in music that speaks more than words. If something can touch the heart, it has the power to change.
I build my identity step by step — song by song, performance by performance. I don’t just want to be recognized — I want people to feel the tone, the color, and the soul behind my name.
I’m always searching for meaning — in lyrics, melodies, and people. I don’t see music as a product, but as a quest — for myself, for the world, for the answers words can’t give.
I am open, warm, and fully present in conversation. I love to listen and to speak sincerely — both in everyday life and through song. The voice is not just an instrument, but a way to connect.
I don’t aim to lead by position, but by responsibility and example. Whether I’m on stage or working with a team, I always try to create a space where everyone can shine through my attitude and dedication.
I believe in the effort that isn’t seen. In regular rehearsals, early mornings, recordings that last deep into the night — because art doesn’t come by itself. It comes with commitment.
My day isn’t chaos, even when it seems like it. I carefully plan rehearsals, performances, travel, and studio work, because the balance between art and everyday life doesn’t happen by accident.
Respect is the foundation of every relationship. Whether it’s with the audience, colleagues, the technical team, or someone who just follows me online — I strive to be grateful, kind, and present.
Music is my native language. I’ve been singing since I was a child, feeling rhythm, melody, and the atmosphere of a song even before I sing it. I’m not a composer, but what I sing — becomes mine.
